Former Community Organizer, Dr. Tina Trent to Speak

Dr. Tina TrentThe Madison County Republican Party will meet on Thursday, September 19th at the Madison County Senior Center in Danielsville. The doors will open at 6:30 pm for a meet and greet, and the meeting will begin at 7:00 pm.

The topic this month will be “Lessons Learned in the 2016 Election and What to Expect in 2020.” Former Democrat community organizer, Dr. Tina Trent, will be our speaker.

Dr. Tina Trent is a self-described “recovering community organizer,” having once been a Democrat who lobbied for pro choice groups and feminists. What she saw in the social justice movement “was the reason I’m now pro-life, a social conservative, a practicing Catholic, and a registered Republican.” She is a recognized speaker, writer, and political activist for conservative issues.

Dr. Trent received a doctorate from the Institute for Women’s Studies at Emory University, where under the tutelage of conservative pro-life scholar Elizabeth Fox-Genevese, she wrote about the devastating impact of social justice movements on criminal law. She is a freelance writer for Capital Research Center , and she blogs at tinatrent.com. She and her husband live on a farm in north Georgia.

We invite you to come hear Dr. Trent’s unique perspective on what to expect in 2020.
