he Madison County Republican Party will meet Thursday, August 19th at the Madison County Senior Center which is located at 1265 Highway 98 West in Danielsville, Georgia. The social gathering will be from 6:30 to 7pm and the meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. Our program speaker will be Dana Smith from the Hartwell Republican Party. Dana is the author of a RESOLUTION CALLING FOR INCREASED ELECTION INTEGRITY IN GEORGIA that was passed by the GAGOP in our 2021 State Convention.
Our GOP Legislative Committee will also be presenting reports from meetings they attended throughout Madison County in June and July. Reports will include Board of Elections, Board of Education, Board of Commissioners, and the State of Georgia redistricting meetings. We will also have an update on the progress of the 2nd Amendment Gun Sanctuary committee. All republicans are invited to participate in our monthly meetings scheduled for the 3rd Thursday of each month.
The Madison County Board of Education has updated their COVID guidelines this year. You can read the guidelines at https://www.madison.k12.ga.us/ by scrolling down the page to the link for guidelines. We are glad to see that they have dropped the mask mandates along with some other good decisions.
The next Board of Education meeting will be on this Tuesday, August 10th at 7:00 pm. It will be held at the Professional Learning Center #1 , 800 Madison Street, Danielsville, GA.
